Forum Focuses on Sustainable Manufacturing

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 9, 2009) − The University of Kentucky Center for
Manufacturing will hold a "Forum on Sustainable Manufacturing:
Products, Processes and Systems" from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, in Room 323
of UK's Robotics Building.
The event is designed to precede the inaugural International Congress in Sustainable Manufacturing to be held Aug. 9 through 12 in Cincinnati.
Speakers at the event include Nabil Nasr, director of the Golisano Institute for Sustainability at the Rochester Institute of Technology; Tonya Jackson, director of sustainable technology and operations at Lexmark International Inc.; Jake Barry, director of supply operations for Procter & Gamble Co.; Kevin Butt, general manager for production engineering, environment and safety for Toyota's North American operations; and Todd Rockstroh, a consulting engineer for manufacturing technology at GE Aviation USA.
The speakers will present their ideas during presentations and panel discussions.
Seating at the event is limited. Register online. The registration deadline is Friday, July 17.
