LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 11, 2009) – Help the kids when Kentucky Children's Hospital conducts its
annual Cumulus Cares for Kentucky Children’s Hospital Radiothon with 92.9 FM The Bear and
Newstalk 590 AM WVLK on Friday, Sept. 18. Both radio stations will broadcast live from the
heart of Kentucky Children’s Hospital in Lexington.
Children who have survived life-threatening illnesses, injuries and birth defects will be recognized as "champions" during the radiothon. Listeners also will hear from Kentucky Children's Hospital health professionals who care for the "champions" every day.
"These patients will inspire you,” said Dr. Tim Bricker, physician-in-chief of Kentucky Children’s Hospital. “Their stories tell of the great work happening every day at Kentucky Children’s Hospital. We hope you will join us during the radiothon in supporting Kentucky Children’s Hospital and the many children we serve.”
The Bluegrass Stallions are the presenting sponsor of the radiothon. Quantrell Cadillac is the phone bank sponsor and On the Move Pediatric Therapy is the Internet sponsor.
