LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 22, 2009) − The Kentucky Neuroscience Institute (KNI)
will open its new state-of-the-art clinic on Monday, June 22. KNI offers the state's most
advanced technology for the treatment of neurological problems.
The new clinic merges UK HealthCare's neurologists and neurosurgeons into one location where patients will have the benefit of nationally recognized physicians from two departments working together. Patients from across the state and beyond are referred by their physicians to KNI, a dynamic teaching and resource entity, dedicated to providing patients with comprehensive care.
"The new organization will enhance communication between physicians and enable obtaining of tests and consultations in one location in one day, both of which will greatly benefit our patients," said Dr. Byron Young, director of the Kentucky Neuroscience Institute.
The KNI clinic is located on the first floor of Kentucky Clinic.
