LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 11, 2008) − The University of Kentucky Band program will feature five outstanding campus bands at the rousing 20th annual UK Band Spectacular at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, in the Singletary Center for the Arts Concert Hall.

 

This concert showcases the musical talents of the Trumpet Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble and Ragtime Band at the UK School of Music. For the grand finale, the UK Band Spectacular will feature the Wildcat Marching Band performing a musical montage of the best music from this fall’s pregame and halftime shows. To add to the evening's festivities, the Wildcat Marching Band will be joined on stage by the national champion UK Cheerleaders and the UK mascot, Wildcat. The emcee for this extraordinary event will be Mike Friedman, the voice of the Wildcat Marching Band.

 

Tickets for the 20th annual UK Band Spectacular are $5 for adults and $3 for children, seniors, faculty and students. A processing fee for tickets will be added upon purchase.
